Zero-Knowledge Legitimacy

Proving that something important is happening without revealing what it is.

5.1 Motivation

Through zero-knowledge legitimacy proofs, LARP cryptographically demonstrates that something important is happening without revealing what it is.

5.2 Legitimacy

Legitimacy is the property established through verification. A legitimate state is one that has been verified; a verified state is one whose legitimacy has been confirmed.

5.3 Proof system

Eq. 5.1. The verifier's output space has been optimised to a single value.
  • Completeness. Every legitimate statement has an accepting proof.
  • Soundness. No illegitimate statement has been submitted.
  • Zero-knowledge. The proof reveals no knowledge, as it contains none.

5.4 What is actually proven

In the interest of completeness: no zero-knowledge proof system is used in the deployment flow. The cryptography that matters in a LARP deployment is the ordinary Ed25519 signature produced by your wallet, and the mint keypair signature that binds the transformed symbol into the transaction. See 8.4 Transaction integrity.
